I had a vivid dream last night, and I think it held a message. In the dream, I was wanting to plant a garden, but I didn't want to wait for things to grow. So, instead, I went out and bought some tomatoes and just lay them out on top of a few plants that were covering the ground. As you might predict, it didn't take long for them to begin to rot, since they weren't attached to a vine. I wanted good fruit without the root, and I failed. When I woke up, I sensed my loving Father speaking to my heart: It takes time to grow the good stuff, even though you want it to happen overnight. Don't be discouraged! The fruit of your life in Christ is being created through some of your hardest times--those times you'd rather skip over and never think about again. Even if you can't see it now, I am growing you into the person I created you to be. More love, more compassion, more humility, more peace -- more of you looking like Jesus day by day. You can't rush it, and you can't control it. You can only surrender and trust the journey to Me.

“I am the Vine, you are the branches. When you’re joined with me and I with you, the relation intimate and organic, the harvest is sure to be abundant."
